I’ve only dealt with Stephen, he helped me with both of my parents services as well as other family members. Kind, knowledgeable, even made me aware of a death benefit I received I otherwise would not have known about. They are so accommodating and have seen it all! Their space is very large, cozy and not corporate. Private services! He just made the hardest time of my life so much easier and I’m so thankful for them. Edit to add: both of my parents were open casket and they looked much like themselves and not creepy or overdone. So whoever does the preparing and presentation deserves an award as well as the hairstyling. Handled all my requests. Seems morbid but I will mention it because it DOES MATTER!

My mom and dad had prepaid cremation plans down in North Carolina. My dad died in the 90s and mom moved back up here and transferred her plan to Meyers Funeral Home in 2002. My mom died at 98 two weeks ago and ALL I had to do was make ONE phone call to Stephen Meyers and he took care of EVERYTHING. He picked up her body at the hospital about 3 hours (!) after I called him and she was sent to cremation immediately. He called when her ashes and death certs. were available and I was able to pick them up at my convenience. I will be pre-paying my own cremation with him once the dust settles with my mom, and hopefully my husband will want to do the same. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

When we called for directions, they told us the wrong cemetery for the burial (and that it would be a military burial, when the deceased had not been in the service). The stand for the flowers next to the casket collapsed, one of the attendants spoke to the deceased's only child about looking into financial benefits she might get, and just talked on and on. It was far from caring and compassionate. I cannot recommend based upon this experience.
