On behalf of the Nguyen family, I would like to express our appreciation for the funeral service of our father, Mr. Chuong Nguyen. From the moment we contacted Harbor-Lawn Mt. Olive Memorial Park and Mortuary, we were greeted with sympathies by Claudia and Patrick who patiently explained clearly what was included in the package our parents had purchased. They were so accommodating when we asked to switch the plot where our dad would lay as his final resting place a few days later. Peter was on hand to help with flags and was there to help on the burial day. Bridget took the time and was hands-on on burial day to help organize and she even shoveled some dirt herself. Overall, without Claudia, Patrick, Peter and Bridget’s assistance, our dad’s funeral wouldn’t have been as smooth or organized as it was. We’re eternally grateful for their work and please extend our thanks to each of them individually.

Of all the places of which you would consider writing a review, a mortuary may likely not make your top-10 list, however when great service is provided it warrants great recognition. My mother passed away recently after a long battle with dementia. Anyone with any experience dealing with this monster of a disease knows just how traumatic it can be, and how welcome any amount of care and compassion can be in the aftermath. That's exactly what my family and I received from Marnie Wright at Harbor Lawn. From my very first phone conversation with Marnie, I knew I was not only dealing with a professional but also a genuine, decent human being. My dad and I met with Marnie to review the options available to us and we received a thorough and detailed explanation. Marnie made sure we understood what choices we had, as well as an itemized (and reasonable) cost for services and a comprehensive review of all documents to be signed. At no time did we feel any pressure or any confusion, misunderstanding or miscommunication of any kind. In all honesty, I don't think Marnie could have done more to accommodate our needs and requests. Everything was handled so quickly and with great thoughtfulness. Thanks again Marnie and Harbor Lawn. My mom is resting peacefully and you made this happen for my family.

I would like to thank Kathy, (who spent hours making sure my dad was satisfied), Patrick and all the staff, especially including the gentlemen that performed the burial, at Harbor Lawn-Mt Olive for their services for my mom's internment. They were so kind, patient and professional, helping us through this difficult time. It gives my family some peace to know Mom is resting in this special place.
