We lost our brother May 22 and he had already pre-arranged his final expenses with Hamlin & Hilbish. We went in to finalize everything and also add to what he had already requested. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to Hamlin & Hilbish. Their staff was so kind and compassionate. Emily took care of arranging his military service, the honor guards and scheduling our luncheon after with the American Legion. We are forever grateful to Emily, Kathy and the entire staff.

My Mother passed away on September 17, 2024 and Hamlin & Hilbish handled the arrangements. Our family cannot praise this funeral home enough. Emily was so caring, professional, patient and took care of everything. Mother’s service was at Hamlin & Hilbish, however, burial was at Woodlawn. Emily coordinated the burial arrangements with Woodlawn and everything was perfect. My family thanks Hamlin & Hilbish and their staff, especially Emily, for helping us provide a wonderful tribute to my sweet Mother.

My oldest brother Kenny sadly passed away in April of 2024. My brother was a large man and could not be stored in hospital morgue so the hospital transported him to Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home for services. My family is very low income and we were desperate for help. Hamlin and Hilbish provided me with guidance to obtain aid for his cremation through Lake County. It was never something I could have completed alone as a disabled person myself. Kathy, the funeral director, took action and assisted me in providing solutions to all my financial needs regarding my brother. I have had many family members pass away within last five years. Hamlin & Hilbish is by far the best funeral home I ever done business with. Kathy and the staff helped me in ways that I know were answered through prayer. Kathy ensured me my brother's remains were taken care of respectfully and they were shipped to me in NY and would receive them tomorrow. I do not have any money at all at this time. Kathy called and advised that the funeral home would take care of shipping costs for me because of my situation 😔. I cried so hard happy tears that my brother would finally be coming home to me in NY. I'm crying again now as I write this statement from the heart ❤️. I highly highly recommend Hamlin & Hilbish to take care of your loved ones services and arrangements. There is no need to call another funeral home. This is the only place you need to call and please ask for Kathy. This was one of the kindest acts bestowed to me. I believe Hamlin & Hilbish are God sent. This is a 5 star review well deserved to this amazing funeral home. The care and dedication and help is unmatched by any other.
