Forest Ridge Funeral home went above and beyond for our family during a very difficult time. They welcomed us and provided expert guidance, care and empathy that allowed us to make the right decisions for us. In particular, Kylie was excellent to work with from the moment we contacted her.

I decided to take a moment to write this review because of the absolutely exceptional “care” (they truly cared for us) my family received at Forest Ridge Funeral Home when the matriarch of our family died after an extended convalescence. Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we can go through, and the experience comes with a myriad of emotions, mood swings, and stages of grief as we navigate our way through the process. One of the most challenging aspects of this is the funeral arrangements for our loved one that has passed. It truly is a surreal experience filled with conflicting emotions and this is often the time when we are most vulnerable and needing a compassionate voice to guide us. The moment we walked through the door at Forest Ridge to begin the process, we were greeted by the owner, David. He was kind, compassionate, and welcoming as we prepared to iron out the details of our celebration of life ceremony. He instantly put us at ease and let us know that he and his staff would do everything they could to make this process as easy as it could be given the circumstances. I was instantly taken with this facility. It is beautifully decorated with artwork hanging on the walls from several different eras; perfectly placed furniture throughout giving it an ornate, homey feel; the foyer showcases a baby grand piano that anchors the room with elegant dignity; and the highlight, a gorgeous chapel that seats 250 with additional seating outside in hallways with video access to view the ceremony. Everyone on the staff was exceptional and their attention to detail was beyond welcoming at a time when our family was not in our most optimum state to navigate this very challenging time. They were patient, listened to our needs, and made all the appropriate suggestions to help guide us in this process. I highly recommend Forest Ridge Funeral Home to anyone who is making one of the most important and difficult decisions we could ever make for our loved one. David and his staff will take this very difficult time and make it into one that will be held with the highest regard. What can I say? The five star reviews below say it all; all I can do is change the name to Kylie, everything else applies. My father passed away in April and this is the first time I've had to do anything like this. My mother had me run everything and I knew nothing of what to do. I'm a control freak, a micro manager, and things have to be RIGHT to my standards. In comes Kylie. Personable, unbelievably kind, knowledgeable, chilled in the way that you feel at peace and that everything is going to be okay. She patiently led me through what I needed to do, gave me suggestions, followed through on obligations, and kept me updated regarding the process as we moved forward. The evening before the service, Kylie let me know that an emergency had come up and she would not be able to be at the service the next day, but she had passed the info regarding our needs to another associate. I was extremely nervous and worried when I got to the funeral home the next day--I didn't know the other associates were just like Kylie. I walked in and immediately there was a female associate who introduced herself and another associate who was there to assist. She was cool as a cucumber, chilled, knew everything about what was going on, updated me on how the military was going to be a part of the service and when. I felt like one of the associates was within arms reach wherever I was to be of service. The viewing and then service were flawless. Another review here mentioned they felt like they were in their own living room? Ditto. The furniture was extremely comfortable and welcoming. Forest Ridge has PERFECTED their profession. This is one of the most stressful times in life; The Forest Ridge EXPERIENCE is exactly what is needed at this time. There are not enough stars to rate this funeral home. All I can say is may God richly bless each and every one of you for your heart of a servant in this profession.
