June 2024 was one of the most unbearable times of my life which was the tragic passing of my 17 year old granddaughter Bree which took place in Three Rivers, Ca. Bree was born in San Joaquin County though raised in Tulare was to be buried at Cherokee along with her father Brandon and other paternal family after funeral services in Tulare on June 29, 2024. This couldn’t have been possible without the assistance of “the best” family service counselor Cherokee Memorial Park has to offer none other than Michelle Weichers! She was the absolute best at what her job entails. Every bit of planning effort that I had to go through from transporting my granddaughter from the church in Tulare to working with the mortuary to dealing with the horse and carriage company/owners to setting up an awning & chairs with cold beverages for family & friends in attendance to transporting some who were unable to physically walk in the heat that day. Her willingness to accommodate me and my family and over 100 teenagers & their families traveling to Lodi/Stockton at a time when my heart was broken and I wasn’t sure if I could get through the entire process. She extended her days off to coordinate with the services to ensure that everything went off with no issues and for that I’m so grateful for her services, her kindness and want Cherokee to know about the rare Gem that they have as an employee. I will recommend her to everyone because she is simply the best at her job. Thank you again Michelle Weichers for your kindness, your expertise, your willingness to go the extra mile in making this tragic time a little bit easier for me and my family. I cannot thank Cherokee Memorial Park enough. My family chose this place for my father's funeral and burial services because it is close to our residence. Kudos to Melchor for assisting us during the purchasing of the plot, Jeremy who assisted us for the IT stuff in the chapel, the attendants during the viewing/visitation, Pam and her colleagues from the reception area, and to the funeral director herself, Caroline; thank you Caroline for EVERYTHING (literally). This is the first time that I have an immediate family member who passed, and navigating through the demise of my father is already heavy. But these people especially Caroline just went above and beyond to help us navigate the entire process. If there's one thing that I've learned from this, it's about the 3Cs: Consideration, Communication, and Coordination. Thank you all for everything. On behalf of my family, I am so grateful.

Cherokee staff were incredibly kind, considerate and compassionate in helping us deal with the loss of my parents, whose remains we transported from out of state. They professionally explained and assisted with paperwork in advance of our arrival so we could be fully present emotionally during interment, which they completed competently and compassionately.
